GE's sm-pwm-01c is a dust sensor (air quality sensor) that uses optical methods to detect dust concentration in the air.In the dust sensor, there is an infrared diode and an image sensor. When the airflow with dust passes through the intersection area of optical axes, the dust reflects the infrared light, and the reflected light intensity is proportional to the dust concentration.The image sensor detects the infrared light emitted by the infrared diode reflected by the dust, and outputs the pulse width modulation (PWM) signal reflecting the dust concentration through the signal conditioning circuit.
